The DENSLOW family are remembered by us for their seven sons who fought in the Great War (1914 – 1918) and are representative of all families from our community who have given us service. Natives of Wambrook, they remind us of the smaller villages that contribute so much to our lives still today. Three of Harriet and Edward’s sons, Charles, Edward and Albert, gave the ultimate sacrifice, with Albert fighting with the Canadian army, Edward the Australian army and Charles being buried in Karachi in Pakistan. They remind us of what it means to belong as part of a family.
